Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information CSRA Business Weather (the “Site”), operated by Peak Employment Solutions, 308 Eighth Street, Augusta, Georgia 30901, collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We have tried to collect as little as possible. Browsing the Site does not require an account.
Information we collect
Information you give us in the Hiring Intentions Survey. The survey asks for: your headcount outlook for the next six months; the roles you find hardest to fill (a short free-text answer); your planned pay raise range; your employee turnover range; your biggest hiring barrier; how you rate the typical applicant on reliability, attitude and maturity (Poor to Excellent); the share of recent hires who left or were let go within 90 days; the most common reason new hires do not work out; how demand for your products or services compares with a year ago; your planned investment (equipment, space, technology, hiring new personnel, or none); the cost putting the most pressure on your business; your main location (county); your industry; and your number of employees (a size range). Your agreement to include your answers in combined results is also recorded. Please do not put names of people or confidential details in the free-text answer.
Optional contact details. You may also give a company name and an email address if you want the results. They are optional. We save them in a separate record that is not linked to your answers, and we use them only to send you the results.
Email subscriptions. If you subscribe to the CSRA Business Weather email update, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your name and company. We first send a confirmation message; you are added to the list only after you click the link in it. We keep the date you asked and the date you confirmed. We use these details only to send the update and to manage your subscription. Every update includes a link to unsubscribe in one click, and we stop emailing you when you do. We do not sell, rent or share subscriber details for other companies’ marketing.
Abuse-prevention records. To limit repeat and automated submissions, the survey keeps a scrambled (hashed) code made from your connection’s IP address and the survey round, plus a count and time of recent submissions. The IP address itself is not saved with your answers, and the code cannot be used to look up your answers. The form also uses a hidden field and a minimum completion time to screen out automated submissions.
If you email us. We receive your email address and whatever you write.
Information collected automatically. Like every website, the servers that deliver the Site (Google Firebase Hosting) receive your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages requested and the time of the request. These technical logs are used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose problems.
Cookies and similar technologies. The Site itself does not set cookies and does not use advertising tracking. Your browser may keep ordinary cached files so the page loads faster. Visit counter. The Site uses a simple counter we run ourselves, with no cookies and no third-party analytics service. When a page loads, it adds one to a daily total for that page, a broad referrer category (such as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, email or direct), the words typed into the Site search, and the buttons clicked. It does not store your IP address, a device or visitor identifier, or anything that identifies you, and search entries that look like an email address or a long number are discarded. The counter is not used when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We use the totals to see which information is useful and to improve the Site.
Third-party services that see your visit
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser requests font files from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details under Google’s privacy policy.
- National Weather Service (weather.gov). The weather panel loads the current conditions and forecast for Augusta directly from the National Weather Service, which receives your IP address and browser details under U.S. government policy. No location from your device is requested.
- Google Firebase. Our hosting provider, and the provider of the survey database (Cloud Firestore) and survey functions (Cloud Functions), processes data on our behalf in the United States.
- Email delivery (Resend). An email delivery service sends the subscription confirmation and update emails, and, when a survey response arrives, sends a notice to Mike Frazier at Peak Employment Solutions. The notice contains the multiple-choice answers (county, industry, size, outlook, barrier, applicant ratings, early exits, reason hires fail, demand, cost pressure and pay raise). It does not contain your company name, email address or free-text answer.
- Links you click. Outlets and agencies we link to have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.
How we use information
We use submitted information to run and improve the Site and surveys, to calculate and publish aggregate results, to reply to you, to protect the Site against abuse and fraud, and to meet legal obligations. Survey results are published only in combined form, and only after at least ten employers have responded in a survey round, so no single response can be picked out. Your free-text answer is never published. We use technical logs only to operate and secure the Site.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under appropriate obligations, with our affiliates and sponsor Peak Augusta only for operating the Site, if required by law or legal process, to protect rights, safety or the security of the Site, or in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business. The company name and email address you may give with a survey are used only to send you the results, not for marketing, and we do not share them. Subscriber details are handled as described under Email subscriptions above.
Retention and security
Survey answers are kept so that results can be compared from one survey round to the next. They contain no name, email or company name. Contact details are kept until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them to send results. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe and then only as a record that you opted out, so that we do not email you again; you may ask us to delete that record too. Abuse-prevention records are kept only briefly. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to respond and for recordkeeping. Our survey database is configured so it cannot be read directly from the public internet, and access is limited to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Because survey answers are saved without your name or contact details, we usually cannot find a particular response after you submit it. You may ask us to access, correct or delete the contact details or any correspondence you gave us by emailing mike@peaktcs.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, including rights to know what we hold, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will respond within the time the law requires. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it, although the Site does not track you in the first place.
Children
The Site is written for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site changes. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
