Figures come from public sources such as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED), the Georgia Department of Labor and WARN notices, USAFacts, local economic-development and chamber announcements, and news outlets. Each reading shows its source and date. Source agencies revise their numbers, publish on their own schedules, and sometimes publish with errors. Announced jobs and investments are announcements, not guarantees that the jobs will be created or the projects completed. WARN notices show planned layoffs and may be later withdrawn or changed. We work to be accurate but cannot guarantee that any figure is complete, current or error-free.
